Friends,
We are about to enter the “dog-days” of Summer, when the cumulative effect of heat and humidity attempts to overcome any desire to do anything requiring effort. This may be the one area the enemy of our souls is not trying to change the times and seasons.
America is in deep trouble right now. The primary reason is that the church has allowed it by not taking its God-given place in society. Evil really does succeed when good men do nothing.
The prophets are prophesying, the dreamers are dreaming, and those who see visions are having them nightly. They all point to one thing, the outcome of this battle for righteousness is in the hands of the praying church. Many are suggesting it will be settled by the time the November election cycle ends. The tipping point is at hand. If this is true, we have 60 to 70 days to assail heaven in mass. If we don’t, I believe the America that we have known will be lost and the persecution of Christians will quickly begin to increase. This is not about a political party but about the call of the church during this time.
I am asking you to increase your prayers as though your very life depended upon it, for it just may become that serious soon. Pray that all believers around the globe will shake off lethargy and flood heaven with prayers. Pray that all believers will drop their personal hindrances, pettiness, and pursue purity. Pray that all believers will pursue God like never before, that the great harvest would begin now, that Holy Spirit would find yielded workers everywhere, that all corruption would be exposed and that the secret strategies of the enemy would be shouted from the rooftop. Pray that the Lord would remove the influence of all ungodly powers, principalities, thrones and dominions empowering evil in our nation. Finally, pray that the veil of idealistic delusion would be lifted from the eyes of all Americans, so they could see their own complicity and turn from their evil ways.
Pat and I have chosen to give ourselves to these prayers until November and especially for the next 60 days. Please join us in these prayers.
